  • Dependants' benefits

    The fund automatically provides benefits for your dependants if you die. These benefits may include:

    • a lump sum;
    • an eligible dependant's pension; and
    • pensions for up to two children (if you joined after 1st April 2007 there is no limit on the number of children).

    If you joined before 1st April 2007, when you take your benefits you can also choose to provide an extra pension for a dependant, in exchange for some of your own pension.
