    BRASS

  • BRASS

    BRASS is an AVC arrangement open to members of the Railways Pension Scheme (defined benefits sections) and members of the British Transport Police Force Superannuation Fund who joined before 1st April 2007.
    When you take your benefits from your scheme, the value of your BRASS fund is added to your scheme benefits.
    Your contributions, which are tax free, buy units in the BRASS fund choice(s) that you have selected. You choose how much you want to pay and your employer collects contributions through your payroll before you are taxed. This way you get the tax relief immediately.
